Void formers or bolt boxes are commonly used to create a parallel or tapered void around the bolt to enable bolt adjustment. Void formers are available in several materials, the most popular Polystyrene, Waxed Cardboard and Expanded Metal.
Standard stock sizes are supplied complete with a hexagon nut only. Lengths start at 300mm and stop at 650mm, however, lengths up to 1500mm can be manufactured from blank forgings in both grades and all non-preferred diameters.
